Coffee Makers have been around now for centurys and probably made there debut in the early 16th century. The turkish ibrik being one of the earliest known examples. This comes in a variety of sizes and different metals and is still made today in the same same traditional designs as when it first made an appearance. This makes it very difficult to put a date on a lot of them unless there is an authenticated or specialist mark or unusual design on them.
In this day and age, coffee makers are an integral part of our modern life and are found in shops, department stores, cafes, homes and anywhere else that people serve fresh coffee.
Domestic coffee makers are used by a massive part of the population within the home for that first drink of the morning to get you started for work.
Prices vary on these machines but what we do know is that if you have a decent coffee and a decent machine, then you cant go wrong. User error excepted.
Most machines of the domestic type and for home use have a built in coffee grinder. These coffee grinders are variations of spice mills and the coarseness of the grind is a matter of individual taste and has to suit the method of brewing.
